Meta is set to launch its annual Connect conference, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg delivering a keynote address on Wednesday evening. During his presentation, Zuckerberg is expected to share updates on “AI glasses” and outline “Meta’s vision for artificial intelligence and the metaverse,” as detailed on the Connect event page.
According to colleague Victoria Song, the company is poised for a significant upgrade to its smart glasses lineup. A recently leaked video hints that Meta will unveil its first glasses equipped with a screen during the event. The footage also features new wraparound smart glasses from Oakley. Additionally, with Meta’s focus on the metaverse, it’s likely that updates on Horizon OS and the company’s VR initiatives will also be highlighted.
Zuckerberg’s keynote is scheduled for 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT. Interested viewers can register through Meta’s Connect website to access the livestream. The keynote will also be available on the Meta for Developers Facebook page, as well as within Horizon Worlds. Coverage of the event will be provided live by Technology News.
