Teasers shared by Xiaomi provide insight into the device’s design, available color options, and key specifications. The new model is expected to come in at least four colors and will feature a Leica-tuned rear camera system. Anticipation surrounds the device which may be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and is rumored to include a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor.
Design and Color Options of Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro
Xiaomi utilized its Weibo account to announce that the Civi 5 Pro will launch in China within the month. Teasers indicate a sleek design complemented by color options such as black, beige, purple, and white. The device sports a metal frame and a curved display, enhanced by thin, uniform bezels.
Among its notable features, the Civi 5 Pro is teased to include a robust 50-megapixel front camera, potentially marking it as the most advanced model in the Civi series to date. Xiaomi’s President, Lu Weibing, commented that the device, which carries the internal codename “Little 15,” is designed to deliver performance on par with that of the standard iPhone.
The promotional material also indicates that the Civi 5 Pro will be equipped with a Leica-branded triple rear camera setup. The rear panel features markings suggesting a Leica Vario-Summilux lens with an f/1.63 aperture for the main camera and an f/2.2 aperture alongside a 15mm focal length for the ultra-wide angle camera.
Xiaomi has begun to share camera samples via Weibo, illustrating the capabilities of the camera system, particularly in low-light situations. Additionally, the company has initiated pre-orders for the Civi 5 Pro on its official Chinese website.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro surfaced on a benchmarking site under the model number Xiaomi 25067PYE3C. This listing revealed several core specifications, including the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, Adreno 825 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and the Android 15 operating system.
Recent leaks suggest that the Civi 5 Pro might feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera capable of 3x optical zoom. Moreover, it is speculated that the device will have a battery exceeding 6,000mAh and a thickness of approximately 7mm.
The previous model, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, was launched in March of last year, with pricing set at CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 34,600) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in China.
