The Vivo X200 Ultra is set to make its debut in China on April 21, coinciding with the unveiling of the Vivo X200s. In anticipation of the launch, Vivo has released several teasers on Weibo highlighting the smartphone’s impressive camera features. The Vivo X200 Ultra will utilize Sony’s LYT-818 sensor for its primary and ultra-wide-angle cameras and will also come with a Photography Kit accessory. Additionally, the device will be equipped with a vibrant 2K OLED display and a robust 6,000mAh battery, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The Chinese manufacturer has shared new insights on Weibo regarding the camera configuration of the Vivo X200 Ultra. This forthcoming smartphone will sport a Zeiss-branded camera system, which includes a 14mm ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 35mm primary camera, and an 85mm Zeiss APO lens. Both the 14mm ultra-wide sensor and the 35mm main camera will incorporate the same 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-818 sensor, further enhanced with optical image stabilization (OIS).
The 85mm telephoto sensor in the Vivo X200 Ultra is reported to be 38 percent more light-sensitive compared to its predecessor, the Vivo X100 Ultra. With the addition of the Vivo V3+ and VS1 imaging chips, the camera system is expected to deliver exceptional performance. The VS1 AI image signal processor (ISP) claims to offer an impressive computing power of 80 trillion operations per second.
Vivo has also showcased multiple camera samples on the microblogging platform, demonstrating the advancements made with each sensor. The phone will support 4K video recording at both 120fps and 60fps with 10-bit log capabilities. Other notable features include DCG HDR and various AI-driven functionalities. The device will additionally be available with an optional Photography Kit.
Vivo X200 Ultra Specifications
The Vivo X200 Ultra has been highlighted to feature a 2K OLED display, also branded by Zeiss, with protective Armour glass. This model will house a 6,000mAh battery, supporting both 40W wireless and 90W wired charging. The phone’s thickness measures 8.69mm and it will include an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. It has also been confirmed that the device will operate using the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Scheduled for launch in China at 7pm local time (4:30pm IST) on April 21, the Vivo X200 Ultra will be revealed alongside several other devices, including the Vivo X200s, Vivo Pad 5 Pro, Vivo Pad SE, and Vivo Watch 5.
