The Vivo V50e is poised for an imminent launch in India. Although the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has yet to announce an official release date for the latest model in its V series, it has provided several teasers showcasing its color options and primary specifications. The Vivo V50e is expected to come equipped with a quad-curved display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and will feature a 50-megapixel front camera. Additionally, it will incorporate various AI functionalities such as Circle to Search. This new model will succeed last year’s Vivo V40e.
Teased Specifications of Vivo V50e
The Vivo V50e has been listed on the company’s Indian website, marked with a ‘coming soon’ status. It will be available in two color variants: Pearl White and Sapphire Blue, featuring a sleek, quad-curved display with minimal bezels. The device will sport a metal frame complemented by a glass back. Similar to its predecessor, the Vivo V40e, the V50e will incorporate a vertical camera module along with an Aura Light setup.
In terms of photography capabilities, the Vivo V50e is set to include a Sony Multifocal Pro Portrait camera featuring three distinct focal lengths: 26mm (1x), 39mm (1.5x), and 52mm (2x). Accompanying this will be the high-resolution 50-megapixel selfie camera located on the front. Both the rear and front cameras are anticipated to support 4K video recording. Furthermore, the camera suite is expected to come with a wedding portrait studio feature, which combines wedding-style portrait capabilities with film camera modes.
The device will also be rated with IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance, while maintaining a thickness of just 7.3mm.
Vivo is enhancing the V50e with a range of AI-driven features designed to improve user experience. These features will include AI Image Expander, AI Note Assist, Circle to Search, and AI Transcript Assist. With AI Image Expander, users can expand images from their edges to custom proportions. AI Note Assist will allow for smart formatting of notes, summarization of content, extraction of key tasks, and text translation, all accessible with a single tap. Circle to Search will enable users to search for content on their screens with a simple circular gesture, while AI Transcript Assist will convert audio files into text.
