Samsung has recently hinted at its forthcoming foldable devices, using the term ‘Ultra’ in its teaser. This has led to speculation about the potential introduction of an Ultra variant of the Galaxy Z Fold series, specifically the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra. However, a credible source has stated that this Ultra model will not be released; instead, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will deliver an Ultra-like experience. The tech giant is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is expected to take place in July in New York City.

Reports Deny Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra Launch

Max Jambor, a well-known industry insider on X, has dismissed the rumors regarding a new Ultra-branded Galaxy Z Fold 7. He indicated that Samsung appears to be using the Ultra designation mainly to generate excitement ahead of the launch of its next-generation foldable devices. “There’s no Ultra model, at least not this summer,” Jambor stated, adding that the “Galaxy Z Fold 7 itself will bring Ultra features.”

Earlier in the week, Samsung teased the introduction of a new product by incorporating the word ‘Ultra’ in its messaging. The teaser showcased a phone with a book-style foldable design. Many, including outlets like Gadgets 360, speculated that it could be a premium version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Notably, Samsung has promised that the new model will include Galaxy AI features. The latest leaks suggest that the anticipated upgrades will offer a flagship experience without necessitating a separate Ultra variant.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to be launched early next month, with a Galaxy Unpacked event slated to occur in New York City. Reports indicate that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 chipset in certain markets, including Korea, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC globally.

Storage options for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are likely to include configurations of 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may come in 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB models. Additionally, there are rumors that Samsung will unveil a Fan Edition of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 alongside the new foldables.
