The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE made its debut during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in New York on Wednesday. This new clamshell-style smartphone represents the South Korean manufacturer’s initial foray into the non-premium foldable market, positioned below the flagship Galaxy Z Flip 7 in Samsung’s range of foldable devices. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is equipped with an Exynos 2400 chipset, features a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen, dual rear cameras, and incorporates various Galaxy AI functionalities. It also boasts an IP48 rating for defense against dust and water.

In India, the starting price for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is set at Rs. 89,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. A model with 256GB of storage is available for Rs. 95,999. Customers can choose between two color options: Black or White.
Samsung has announced that pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will commence immediately. Those who place an order before July 12 will have the chance to acquire the 256GB version for the same price as the 128GB variant. The smartphone is scheduled to hit the shelves in India from July 25.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE supports dual-SIM (nano + nano) functionality and runs on One UI 8, based on Android 16. The device features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X primary display with a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz and achieves a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, alongside the 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display, which allows for personalized wallpapers and interactive widgets for weather and galleries.
Powering the device is the proprietary Exynos 2400 chipset, also utilized in last year’s flagship Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models in some regions. It comes with 8GB of RAM and offers up to 256GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE integrates Galaxy AI features aimed at enhancing productivity, including tools like Gemini Live, Now Brief, Now Bar, AI Select, Natural Language Search, Writing Assist, Circle-to-Search, Note Assist, Browsing Assist, and Transcript Assist. Users can also benefit from creative enhancements to features such as Audio Eraser, Photo Assist, Drawing Assist, Portrait Studio, and Sketch-to-Image.
Moreover, support for third-party apps in the Live Translate feature has been introduced, along with functionalities like Call Assist, Call Transcript, and Interpreter features.
The camera system on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens with 2x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. An additional 10-megapixel camera is positioned on the inner screen for selfies and video calls. Enhanced by Samsung’s ProVisual Engine, the photography features include Nightography and Dual Preview.
For those concerned about privacy and security, the device includes the Personal Data Engine, which collects and encrypts user data, subsequently storing it in the Knox Vault. The design of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has been refined compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, with a thickness of 6.9mm when unfolded and 14.9mm when folded.
Durability is emphasized in the device with an Armor Aluminum frame and an IP48 rating for protection against dust and water. Additionally, it houses a 4,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging.
