This month, Samsung kicked off its marketing efforts for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold smartphone. Though the company has not yet confirmed an official launch date, recent leaks indicate that the Galaxy Unpacked event for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 is slated for July. During the launch, Samsung is also anticipated to unveil the Galaxy Watch 8 series and new Galaxy Buds.
Noted tipster Evan Blass, known by the handle @evleaks on X, has reported that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will occur on July 9, 2025. Scheduled to start at 10:00 AM EDT (7:30 PM IST), the event is rumored to take place in New York City.
According to the recent leak, it seems Samsung intends to maintain its tradition of an early-July launch for this annual summer event. Last year, the company revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on July 10.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: Anticipated Announcements
The company has begun teasing the introduction of its latest foldable devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature enhanced AI tools and improved privacy capabilities. This new lineup has been described as the “thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable yet.” Reports suggest that the clamshell model will be powered by the Exynos 2500 chipset, while the book-style foldable may utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Additionally, there are expectations that Samsung will introduce a more budget-friendly Fan Edition (FE) version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 alongside its standard counterparts. The Galaxy Watch 8 series, likely to include the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), is also set to premiere during the Unpacked event.
Various rumors indicate that Samsung plans to showcase new audio products, including the Galaxy Buds Core and Galaxy Buds 3 FE. Furthermore, the company is speculated to tease its first-ever extended reality (XR) headset, named Project Moohan, along with a tri-fold smartphone model at the event.
