Next week, Samsung is set to host its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event, during which it is expected to introduce a new lineup of Galaxy Z foldable devices, wearables, and audio accessories. Among the highlights is the anticipated launch of the Galaxy Z Flip FE, an affordable clamshell foldable, alongside the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Although Samsung has yet to officially confirm details about the new flip-style device, it has been reported that the ‘Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE’ name appeared on the website of a third-party phone case manufacturer. This development suggests that the launch of this model may be imminent.
A recent discovery by Android Central revealed that the case maker Spigen unintentionally listed products for both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Although these listings have since been removed from the Spigen website, Android Central captured a screenshot showing the names of the upcoming devices. This strongly indicates that both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be featured at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
Sources suggest that the Fan Edition variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come equipped with slightly reduced hardware specifications, catering to budget-conscious consumers. The expected pricing is under EUR 1,000 (approximately Rs. 92,000) in Europe and around KRW 1 million (about Rs. 63,400) in Korea for the base model with 128GB of storage.
Anticipated Specifications for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE may feature a 6.7-inch main display and a 3.4-inch cover screen. It is likely to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset. The device is expected to include two rear-facing cameras, consisting of a 12-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is also rumored to house a 3,700mAh battery and feature a 10-megapixel front camera.
The Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event is scheduled for July 9 in New York City. The presentation will be livestreamed at 10:00 AM ET (7:30 PM IST) across YouTube and Samsung’s official social media platforms. In addition to the new foldable devices, the company is anticipated to unveil new models of Galaxy Watches and an updated audio lineup. Pre-reservations for the upcoming Galaxy devices are currently available in India.
