Samsung is set to officially launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 later this year. Numerous leaks have emerged regarding the specifications of this foldable device, though there has been inconsistency concerning its chipset. Recently, the Galaxy Z Flip FE appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, offering insights into its core features. Initial indications suggested that the device would be powered by an Exynos 2400 chipset.
The purported Galaxy Z Flip FE surfaced on Geekbench under the model number SM-F766U. The listing revealed a ten-core chipset with a motherboard codename of ‘s5e9955’. This CPU architecture employs a configuration of 1+2+5+2, featuring a prime core clocked at 3.30GHz, two cores at 2.75GHz, five cores at 2.36GHz, and two additional cores at 1.80GHz. These specifications align more closely with the Exynos 2500 chipset.
The Galaxy Z Flip FE prototype is expected to run on Android 16 and is equipped with 12GB of RAM. It achieved a score of 2,012 points in single-core performance and 7,563 points in multi-core performance tests.
Earlier speculations identified the Galaxy Z Flip FE as utilizing the Exynos 2400 chipset, but more recent reports indicated that Samsung might opt for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC instead.
In a prior Geekbench listing, the Galaxy Z Flip FE appeared as model SM-F761N and was powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset. This earlier entry also pointed to the device running on Android 16 but featured only 8GB of RAM.
If the latest Geekbench findings are confirmed, it would mark the debut of an Exynos chipset in Samsung’s foldable lineup.
