Redmi has begun to hint at the forthcoming launch of the Redmi Turbo 4, with more details emerging this month. Although an official launch date has not been announced by the Xiaomi subsidiary, the General Manager of Redmi has provided some insights regarding the timeline for the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro’s release. This model is confirmed to feature a display with 2.5K resolution, making it a notable entry in the smartphone market.
Thomas Wang, Redmi’s General Manager, shared on Weibo that the unveiling of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is scheduled for next week in China. This flagship device is poised to deliver enhanced battery longevity, improved texture, and superior performance compared to the standard Redmi Turbo 4 model. Reportedly, the specifications of the Turbo 4 Pro will exceed those of competing devices under the Ace and Neo brands.
Earlier announcements by Thomas Wang indicated excitement for the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which will be powered by the newly unveiled Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. This handset will make its debut as the first device to utilize this advanced 4nm octa-core chipset, which supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is said to offer up to 31 percent enhanced CPU performance compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is rumored to have a glass exterior paired with a metal mid-frame. Reports suggest that the device will house a battery exceeding 7,000mAh. Additionally, it is speculated that the phone may be rebranded as the Poco F7 for markets outside of China.
The standard Redmi Turbo 4 was introduced in China in January, starting at a price of CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,500) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It features a 6.67-inch 1.5K (1,220 x 2,712 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset and sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor. Furthermore, it is powered by a 6,550mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging.
