Last week, Recraft, a firm specializing in artificial intelligence (AI), launched its new AI image generation model, Recraft V3. Notably, this model is identified as the same Red Panda AI that recently dominated the leaderboard on the benchmarking platform Artificial Analysis. The official reveal of the AI model showcased its advanced capabilities.

In a blog post, Recraft elaborated on the features of its latest creation. The company emphasized that Recraft V3 was developed with the needs of professional designers in mind, particularly focusing on graphic design innovations.
The AI model allows users to dictate specific text placements and sizes within a design, showcasing its accuracy in following user prompts. Additionally, Recraft V3 can seamlessly generate intricate graphics by melding images and text to produce a diverse array of visual effects.
A standout feature of this model is its style control functionality. Users can select various styles to apply to their images, enabling brands to incorporate their design guidelines directly into the prompts. The company asserts that the model supports “fine-grained experimentation,” capturing subtle details of the chosen styles.
Furthermore, Recraft V3 includes capabilities for vector image creation, allowing designers to produce vectors that can be manipulated for real-world applications, including morphing and expansion. The company has also introduced an array of AI image editing tools, such as AI Eraser, Modify Area, Inpainting, Outpainting, AI Mockuper, as well as Creative and Clarity Upscalers, aimed at enhancing user control over outcomes.
In their blog post, Recraft highlighted that the Recraft V3 model achieved the top position on the Artificial Analysis benchmark for text-to-image generation, boasting an Elo score of 1172, surpassing several well-known AI models including those from Midjourney and OpenAI.
Recraft V3 is currently accessible to both free and premium users, available through its desktop application on Canvas, mobile apps for Android and iOS, and via API integration.
