The Oppo Reno 14 series is set to be unveiled in China on Thursday. Ahead of the official announcement, the technology company has released new teasers, revealing significant details about the Reno 14 Pro model. The upcoming device will feature a substantial 6.83-inch display with minimal bezels and promises battery enhancements compared to the previous Reno 13 Pro. Available in three distinct colors, the Reno 14 Pro will offer configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and storage options reaching up to 1TB. Additionally, it is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8450 chipset.
Specifications of Oppo Reno 14 Pro
In a recent Weibo post, Oppo has officially confirmed the screen and battery specifications for the Reno 14 Pro. Mirroring its predecessor, the Reno 13 Pro, the new model will sport a 6.83-inch flat display, featuring slim bezels and a central hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera. Notably, the device will be equipped with a 6,200mAh battery, marking a significant improvement over the previous generation’s 5,800mAh battery.
The Reno 14 Pro is also touted to include an impressive 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, a notable upgrade from the 8-megapixel ultrawide camera found in the Reno 13 Pro. Oppo has shared several camera samples to highlight the advancements that accompany this new sensor.
The official launch event for the Oppo Reno 14 Pro is scheduled for May 15 at 4pm local time (1.30pm IST). The announcement will include the standard Reno 14, the Oppo Enco Clip earbuds, and the Oppo Pad SE tablet.
Confirmed color options for the Oppo Reno 14 Pro include Calla Lilly Purple, Mermaid, and Reef Black. The device will be available in multiple configurations, including 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB RAM and storage combinations.
Speculation suggests that the Reno 14 Pro will incorporate a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, while the standard Reno 14 is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 SoC.
