OnePlus has officially announced the launch of the OnePlus 13s, positioned as the brand’s inaugural compact flagship smartphone, set to debut in India and other regions during the first week of June. The device will be powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and will be available in three distinct color options. Additionally, it will feature a Cryo-Velocity vapour chamber designed for enhanced heat management and is touted to offer up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Launch Date and Specifications of OnePlus 13s in India
The OnePlus 13s is scheduled for its India launch on June 5, with the event to commence at 12 PM IST. The compact flagship will be released in Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and Green Silk, with the Green option being exclusive to the Indian market.
The smartphone will be powered by the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, accompanied by a 4400 sq mm Cryo-Velocity vapour chamber and an additional cooling layer on the back cover, intended to enhance heat dissipation performance.
The company has reported that after conducting stress tests using Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the OnePlus 13s maintained a stable frame rate during gameplay for as long as seven hours before the battery was depleted. Additionally, users can expect up to 24 hours of usage during WhatsApp calls and 16 hours of content browsing on Instagram from a single charge.
A notable feature of the OnePlus 13s is the introduction of a new Plus key, which replaces the traditional alert slider. This customizable button allows users to quickly access important functions, including Sound, Vibration, Do Not Disturb, and various artificial intelligence (AI) tools with a single press.
Further enhancing connectivity, OnePlus has revamped its 360-degree antenna system, now integrating a total of 11 antennas. This includes three high-performance modules and four-mode ultra-wideband low-frequency antennas. The proprietary signal-balance mode technology is designed to minimize the effects of obstructions, such as hand placement, and boost signal strength by as much as 60 percent.
Additionally, the OnePlus 13s will sport a G1 Wi-Fi chipset, a specialized integrated Wi-Fi module for smartphones in India. The company asserts that this chipset will provide reliable and speedy Wi-Fi connectivity, even while commuting on the Delhi Metro or in areas with weak signal, such as buildings and lifts. Moreover, the device will support 5.5G connectivity in India, allowing simultaneous connections to three network cells across different towers.
