A new hands-on video showcasing One UI 8 has emerged, providing insight into the alterations expected in Samsung’s forthcoming operating system. This early beta version, based on Android 16, suggests that Samsung plans to extend its Galaxy AI-powered Now Brief feature, first introduced with the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, to additional models including the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
One UI 8 Hands-On Video
SamMobile has released a hands-on clip featuring an early build of One UI 8 operating on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, highlighting the anticipated updates. One of the key features noted is Now Brief, which is currently limited to the Galaxy S25 series, but is expected to be available on a broader range of Galaxy smartphones soon.
This feature harnesses Galaxy AI to provide users with tailor-made briefings that include suggested content such as health and wellness metrics, event reminders, news updates, travel information, and traffic alerts, all displayed through a card-style interface.
Previous reports indicated that while the Now Brief feature was not officially accessible on other Galaxy models running One UI 7, the necessary code was embedded within the operating system. Although inaccessible until now, One UI 8 is anticipated to unlock this feature for a wider array of devices within Samsung’s lineup.
In addition to Now Brief, One UI 8 seems to present only minor changes. The update appears to focus on fine-tuning and enhancing applications like the File Manager and Gallery, offering a refreshed and more visually appealing user experience. However, given that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the presentation is operating on an early software build, further modifications and enhancements are expected as Samsung refines the operating system leading up to its release.
