The Moto Tag has officially launched in India, several months after its introduction by the Lenovo-owned brand. This location tracker is designed to work with Google’s Find My Device network. It utilizes Bluetooth technology and includes an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip for enhanced functionality. Originally showcased in the United States in June 2024, the Moto Tag is priced at $29 (approximately Rs. 2,423). Earlier this year, rival companies Noise and Boat also released their own Bluetooth trackers in India: the Noise Tag 1 and the Boat Tag.

The Moto Tag is priced at Rs. 2,299 in India and will soon be available for purchase on Flipkart and through the Moto India website. Customers will have the option to choose between Jade Green and Starlight Blue colors for the tracker.

The Moto Tag integrates seamlessly with Google’s Find My Device network to assist users in locating lost items. It promises precise location-tracking capabilities when paired with a UWB-compatible smartphone. The ‘Precision Finding’ feature allows users to pinpoint the tracker’s location, even when it is offline.
This Bluetooth tracker is designed to help users keep track of various items, including keys, wallets, luggage, and even larger possessions like bicycles and vehicles. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and is compatible with Android devices running version 9 (Android Pie) or later. A dedicated ringer button allows users to find misplaced phones, and this button can also function as a remote shutter for taking photos.
Equipped with a replaceable CR2032 battery, the Moto Tag can last up to one year. The device provides end-to-end encryption for location data, ensuring that only the owner can locate their belongings.
The tracker also features manual scanning capabilities to help identify any unauthorized trackers nearby. It can notify other users if it has been moving with them for an extended duration. With an IP67 rating, the Moto Tag is resistant to dust and water. The lightweight plastic casing of the device measures 31.9 x 8mm and weighs just 7.5g.
