The Motorola Edge 60 series is set to be unveiled at the company’s upcoming launch event scheduled for April 24, alongside the Motorola Razr 60 series and the Motorola Edge 60 Pro. Recent leaks have surfaced, revealing key specifications and marketing materials for the Motorola Edge 60, indicating a promising new entry in the smartphone market.
Expected Specifications of Motorola Edge 60
Images shared by tech tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) on X (formerly Twitter) suggest that the Motorola Edge 60 will closely resemble its predecessor, the Motorola Edge 50. The leaked images show that the camera modules on the rear panel will maintain the same size as those found on the previous model. Additionally, it is anticipated that the phone will come bundled with a 68W charger, USB cable, and a phone cover.
According to one of the images, the Motorola Edge 60 is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC, which was unveiled in May 2024. The device may support configurations offering up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, although these options could vary depending on the market.
The Edge 60 is poised to feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K (2,712×1,220 pixels) pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The shared renders indicate that the phone will sport a curved screen. Furthermore, it is expected to operate on Android 15 right out of the box.
The latest leaks suggest that the Motorola Edge 60 will include a 50-megapixel rear camera, utilizing a Sony Lytia 700C sensor. While details on additional rear cameras remain undisclosed, it is also anticipated to have a 50-megapixel front-facing camera to facilitate selfies and video calls.
Motorola is reportedly equipping the Edge 60 with a robust 5,200mAh battery. Along with the 68W charger, the leaked images indicate that the device will carry a MIL-STD 810H certification, underscoring its durability. As the launch date approaches, further information about the Motorola Edge 60, as well as the Edge 60 Pro and Razr 60 series, is expected to emerge.
