A live microsite on Flipkart for the upcoming Motorola Edge smartphone indicates that the device will feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The IP68 rating denotes protection against immersion in water, while the IP69 rating suggests resistance against dust and high-pressure water jets.
A post on X by Motorola hints at the new device, likely the Edge 60 Fusion, boasting a quad-curved display that offers “100 percent true colours.” Additionally, the phone is expected to integrate AI-powered functionalities, though the specific AI capabilities have yet to be disclosed.
Recent leaks suggest that the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion will come equipped with a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC, and a sizable 5,500mAh battery. The camera setup may include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT700 primary rear sensor, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
In addition to its water and dust resistance ratings, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion may also receive MIL-STD-810 certification for military-grade durability.
