Mivi, a consumer technology company based in Hyderabad, has provided insights into its upcoming Mivi AI voice assistant in a recent discussion with Gadgets 360. The company elaborated on the AI model, its text interface, and the anticipated freemium model for the service. Central to this new offering is a voice-driven experience that allows users to engage in conversations with various avatars, request recipe suggestions, and receive curated news headlines. Mivi AI is still in development and is set to launch shortly.
Mivi AI Will Be Offered to Users at No Cost
The demonstration from Mivi shows that the AI assistant will facilitate voice interactions, requiring users to have compatible earbuds connected to their devices.
To access the Mivi AI assistant, two components are essential. The first is AIBuds, Mivi’s forthcoming earbuds, which are currently the only compatible device for this AI feature. The second component is the Mivi Audio app, designed for mobile devices, which must be paired with the AIBuds for the AI to function.
The company emphasized that Mivi AI is intended to be a fully “text and screen-free” experience, prioritizing voice interaction. While there will be a text interface available via the companion app, its purpose will be solely for storing conversations rather than allowing textual exchanges with the AI.
Additionally, Mivi offered details about the creation and training of its AI model, which has been developed entirely in-house. It has been trained using thousands of custom datasets, encompassing a vast array of audio samples in multiple accents and tones across various challenging conditions, including high background noise. This comprehensive training enables Mivi AI to effectively capture audio from users even in outdoor settings or noisy environments.
