The Honor Magic 7 Pro made its debut in European markets earlier this year, having launched in China in October 2024. Anticipation is building for the Honor Magic 8 Pro, the forthcoming successor to the Magic 7 Pro, which is expected to be revealed in October. However, details about the new device have already begun to emerge online.

Expected Specifications for Honor Magic 8 Pro

According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, which has been translated from Chinese, the next Honor smartphone will likely feature Qualcomm’s impending Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship processor along with some details about its camera system. Although the specific name of the device was not mentioned in the post, the accompanying emojis and context suggest it refers to the Honor Magic 8 Pro. Qualcomm is set to present this new mobile platform in October, succeeding the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

The upcoming Honor Magic 8 Pro is rumored to possess a triple rear camera configuration, highlighted by a 50-megapixel OV50Q 1/1.3-inch main sensor featuring LOFIC technology, which is designed to enhance dynamic range. The camera system may also include a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor, which could improve frame transitions and synthesis while aiding in power efficiency.

For comparison, the current Honor Magic 7 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a variable aperture, alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a telephoto camera boasting 200 megapixels and capabilities for 100x digital zoom and 3x optical zoom.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro launched in European markets in January, priced at EUR 1099.99 (approximately ₹97,000) for the version with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. It was initially released in China the previous October.

This model operates on MagicOS 9.0, which is based on Android 15, and features a 6.8-inch full-HD LTPO OLED display, with a resolution of 1,280×2,800 pixels and peak brightness reaching 1600 nits. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. It includes a 50-megapixel front-facing camera along with a 3D depth sensor. The phone is backed by a 5,270mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
