The gaming platform JioGames, developed by Reliance, is set to enhance its offerings by integrating Google’s GameSnacks collection of instant games. This announcement was made by Reliance on Monday, revealing that users will have access to a variety of titles from Google’s gaming service via the JioGames app and Jio set-top boxes. The app is available on iOS, Android, JioPhone, Android TV, and Jio set-top boxes.
JioGames Expands with GameSnacks Integration
The initial phase of the integration will feature eight HTML5 games on the JioGames platform, according to a press release from Reliance. Among these titles are well-known games such as Daily Sudoku, Om Nom Run, and Traffic Tom, which will gradually be made available to JioGames users.
Moreover, JioGames plans to introduce new titles weekly, first on its Android app and subsequently on Jio set-top boxes.
Reliance has stated that users of JioGames can enjoy GameSnacks titles at no cost, with easy access from the app’s homepage on Android devices. Additionally, these games will also be featured in mini apps on MyJio and JioTV.
Positioned as a comprehensive hub for gaming, JioGames offers a variety of features including game streaming, cloud gaming, esports tournaments, and more. The platform boasts an extensive library of short, engaging games across multiple genres, compatible with both smartphones and televisions. Furthermore, JioGames supports a developer program aimed at helping game creators distribute their products across different devices.
To utilize the JioGames service, an internet connection is required to play instant HTML5 games directly within the app. In the near future, Reliance is also planning to launch JioGames+, which will allow users to download games for offline play on Android devices.
GameSnacks, an instant gaming service from Google, offers a wide variety of bite-sized games spanning numerous genres.
