The launch of the iPhone 15 Pro last year brought with it the expectation that its advanced hardware would support high-quality, console-level gaming on mobile devices. Titles such as Resident Evil, Death Stranding, and more recently, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, were made available for iOS users. However, new findings suggest that these high-profile games have largely failed to attract a substantial player base among iPhone users. A recent report indicates that the triple-A console games released for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and certain iPad models have not performed well in the market.
Analysis from mobilegamer.biz reveals that the number of users willing to pay full price to unlock these games after the initial free segment is very limited. Prices for these titles can reach up to Rs. 3,999 in India, though they are often introduced with promotional discounts of up to 50 percent on the App Store.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage on iPhone
The report highlights that fewer than 3,000 users have paid $49.99 to fully unlock Assassin’s Creed Mirage on the iPhone 15 Pro. Estimated downloads of the Ubisoft title stand at around 123,000, leading to a gross revenue of approximately $138,000 (around Rs. 1,15,30,452). This revenue is negligible compared to that of free-to-play mobile games, which frequently see millions of downloads.
Launched on June 6, the game allows players to try an introductory segment for free; however, full access requires a purchase through the App Store. For a limited time until June 20, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was priced at Rs. 1,749, reflecting the 50 percent discount.

Resident Evil, Death Stranding on iPhone
Other major titles, including Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village, and Death Stranding Director’s Cut, have not performed favorably either. Estimates indicate that Resident Evil 4 Remake, which became available on Apple devices in December, has been installed around 357,000 times and has generated an estimated revenue of $208,000 (roughly Rs. 1,73,79,024). Based on its pricing, it is estimated that only about 7,000 users have opted to unlock the full game since its release.
In comparison, Resident Evil Village has achieved 370,000 downloads, generating roughly $92,000 (about Rs. 76,86,692) in revenue, with around 5,750 users believed to have paid for the full game. Death Stranding Director’s Cut, which was brought to Apple devices by 505 Games in January, has generated an estimated $212,000 (around Rs. 1,77,12,812).

Alternative estimates provided by the data firm Appmagic offer a slightly more optimistic view. Based on their analysis, Assassin’s Creed Mirage reportedly brings in $221,000 (approximately Rs. 1,84,64,992) from 279,000 downloads. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 4 is said to have achieved 710,000 installs and generated around $347,000 (about Rs. 2,89,92,544), with only 15,000 players paying for the full title.
Resident Evil Village reportedly stands at 817,000 downloads, generating $420,000 (approximately Rs. 3,50,91,840). Finally, Death Stranding has earned $348,000 (about Rs. 2,90,75,748) since its iPhone launch, with around 23,000 downloads recorded.
