The Asus ROG Ally, designed as the company’s first handheld gaming PC, operates on Windows 11. Officially launched in India on July 12, 2023, it is geared towards delivering high-quality gaming experiences, capable of running AAA titles and indie games at 1080p resolution. Although two variants were released in global markets, only the higher-end RC71L model, featuring AMD’s Z1 Extreme chipset, is available in India.
A pre-sale listing for the Asus ROG Ally is now live on Amazon, where it is offered with a Rs. 10,000 discount, bringing the price down to Rs. 59,990 from its original launch price of Rs. 69,990. Additionally, the e-commerce platform is providing a 10 percent extra instant discount for SBI credit card and EMI transactions.
Specifications and Features of Asus ROG Ally
The RC71L version of the Asus ROG Ally was introduced in India in July last year. This handheld console features a 7-inch full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 500 nits.
It is equipped with an AMD Z1 Extreme processor, in combination with AMD RDNA3 graphics, which includes 4GB of VRAM that can be expanded to 8GB. The device boasts 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD storage, which can be enhanced using a UHS-II MicroSD 4.0 card slot.
The Asus ROG Ally also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and features a USB Type-C port for charging. Its 40Whr battery can be charged at a power of 65W. The device’s dimensions measure 280 x 111 x 21.2mm, with a total weight of 608g.
