Microsoft has officially revealed the initial set of games slated for addition to Xbox Game Pass in August. The lineup features notable titles such as Creatures of Ava, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and Mafia: Definitive Edition. Notably, Creatures of Ava will make its debut on the platform on August 7, followed by Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which is set to arrive on August 8. Additionally, Mafia: Definitive Edition is confirmed to join Game Pass on August 13.
Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Titles
Created by Inverge Studios, Creatures of Ava is an action-adventure game that allows players to step into the shoes of an explorer named Vic, tasked with an expedition across the planet Ava. This unique world consists of four distinct biomes, each populated by various flora and fauna. Players will have the opportunity to tame over 20 wild creatures, uncover the mysteries of the planet, and combat an advancing infection threatening its ecosystem.
Creatures of Ava was initially announced for PC and Xbox consoles earlier this year and will make its Game Pass debut upon its release on August 7.
In a prior announcement, a credible source indicated that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy would be added to Xbox Game Pass this August. This remastered collection, which includes the first three games in the series—Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped—will officially become available on August 8.
Additionally, Mafia: Definitive Edition will arrive on Game Pass on August 13. Microsoft had indicated last month that this third-person shooter, a remake of the 2002 classic from Hangar 13, would soon be part of the service. The remake features a complete overhaul, including new assets, an expanded storyline, additional vehicles, and a reimagined score.
Furthermore, Microsoft has announced the titles that will be leaving Game Pass on August 15. These games include Airborne Kingdoms, Offworld Trading Company, Shadow Warrior 3, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Last month, the gaming community saw the addition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as the first title from the franchise available on Game Pass, with its launch on July 24. Players can currently enjoy Modern Warfare 3 at no extra charge through Game Pass on Console, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate.
