Next month, Asus is set to launch its latest ROG Strix gaming laptops in India. The company has officially revealed the pre-booking date for these highly anticipated models, generating excitement among tech enthusiasts. As indicated by Asus, the new laptops will feature Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 series GPUs, including the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. The ROG Strix G16 (2025) and ROG Strix G18 (2025) were previously introduced in select global markets, showcasing up to RTX 5080 GPUs at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year in January.
Asus Announces Upcoming ROG Strix Laptops Featuring RTX 5000 Series GPUs
The announcement about the launch of the ROG Strix gaming laptops in India was teased in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Pre-bookings for these laptops are set to commence on May 2. The teaser hints that the ROG Strix G16 (2025) and ROG Strix G18 (2025) models will be included in the upcoming lineup.
The ROG Strix G16 (2025) boasts a 16-inch 2.5K (2560×1440 pixels) IPS LCD screen, while the ROG Strix G18 (2025) comes with an 18-inch display, both featuring 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. These laptops are powered by either the Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 275HX or the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D CPUs, which can be paired with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM.
Both the Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025) and ROG Strix G18 (2025) are designed for performance, equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 GPUs and up to 16GB of VRAM. They also support a maximum of 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage and contain a 90Wh battery.
The new ROG Strix G laptops include impressive connectivity features, offering up to two Thunderbolt 5 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 2.5G Ethernet port. The Intel-powered models offer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 capabilities, while the AMD variants are equipped with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
