On Monday, Asus unveiled the ROG Ally X in India, following its global introduction at Computex 2024 in June. This handheld gaming device features impressive specifications, including a 7-inch 120Hz display and an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU. The ROG Ally X serves as the successor to the original Asus ROG Ally, which was released in April last year, and comes with substantial enhancements, particularly a larger battery, addressing a common criticism of its forerunner.

The Asus ROG Ally X is priced at Rs. 89,900 in India and will be available starting today in a sleek black color variant. Consumers can purchase the device through the Asus ROG Store, Eshop, Flipkart, Amazon, and various offline retail outlets.

The ROG Ally X mirrors its global variant in specifications, featuring a 7-inch full-HD IPS touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a fast 7ms response time. Asus reports that the display achieves a peak brightness of 500 nits and offers 100 percent sRGB color coverage. To enhance durability, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and the device incorporates AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology to minimize screen tearing during gameplay.
In terms of size, the Asus ROG Ally X dimensions are 28.0 x 11.1 x 2.47 cm with a weight of 678g. It is driven by an advanced 4nm AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chipset featuring a Zen 4 architecture, which includes 8 cores and a peak clock speed of 5.10 GHz. The processing unit is complemented by an RDNA 3 GPU and 24GB of dual-channel LPDDR5X RAM.
