Ubisoft has announced that its much-anticipated open-world action-adventure game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, will be released on iOS devices on June 6. Initially revealed for Apple devices in September of the previous year, this title will be available on the App Store for the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPad Air and iPad Pro featuring the M1 chip or newer. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first console version of Assassin’s Creed designed for native gameplay on mobile platforms.
The game will be available for free download and players can enjoy the first 90 minutes at no cost from the App Store. After that, the full game will retail for $49.99, approximately Rs. 4,174. Notably, players who purchase the complete version will benefit from a universal purchase feature, enabling gameplay on both iPhone and iPad with a single in-app transaction.
Currently, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is available for pre-order on the App Store. Ubisoft has also confirmed that the game will include cross-progression and cross-save capabilities via Ubisoft Connect, allowing gamers to continue their journeys across all participating platforms seamlessly.
The iOS adaptation of the game has been developed by Ubisoft Sofia, ensuring that it offers an experience comparable to its console counterpart. The studio has also customized the game’s controls to suit the touch screens of iPhones and iPads, while providing the option to use a compatible controller for enhanced gameplay.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage was initially announced for Apple’s line of devices during the Wonderlust event in September, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 15. Although it was originally planned for an early 2024 release, it will now launch on Apple devices on June 6. Notably, iPhone 15 Pro models and M1 or newer iPad models have already hosted popular AAA titles such as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, and Death Stranding.
The game itself made its debut on October 5 across various platforms including PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Set in 9th century Baghdad, players take on the role of Basim, a young street thief who ultimately ascends the ranks of the Hidden Ones to become a Master Assassin.
