Apple has officially announced that its Vision Pro mixed reality headset will receive support for Apple Intelligence features in April, coinciding with the upcoming release of visionOS 2.4. This update will introduce a suite of artificial intelligence capabilities to the device, enhancing its functionality.
In addition to the AI features, Apple is launching a new app called Spatial Gallery, which will provide curated content for Vision Pro users. An accompanying app for iPhone will enable users to better manage their app downloads on the headset. A noteworthy addition is the introduction of a Guest User mode, facilitating shared use of the headset among multiple users.
Apple Intelligence Features Launching with visionOS 2.4
The Apple Intelligence features are slated to roll out alongside the visionOS 2.4 update. Initial capabilities will include Writing Tools integrating ChatGPT, a standalone app for Image Playground, and Genmoji. Initially, these features will be accessible to users with their device language set to English (US).

Moreover, users will be empowered to create Memory Movies through the Photos app, which will support natural language search queries. Enhancements will also include Smart Reply functionality in Mail and Messages, plus features like Image Wand in Notes, Priority Messages, Mail Summaries, and Notification Summaries.
Introducing Guest User Mode
The highly anticipated Guest User mode will allow Vision Pro owners to share their headset. However, this mode will not function as a full multi-user system, meaning it won’t include individual logins or passwords for additional users.
Instead, guests can save their eye and hand configurations for up to 30 days post-use. Following the visionOS 2.4 update, owners can initiate a new Guest User session via their iPhone or iPad, selecting which apps will be accessible to other users during their time with the headset.
New iOS App and Spatial Gallery for Vision Pro
With the iOS 18.4 update, Vision Pro owners will notice a new app on their iPhones that facilitates remote management of the headset’s applications. Users will gain insights about their device, as well as the ability to download new apps and games or receive recommendations for fresh content, including 3D movies and Apple Immersive titles.
The visionOS 2.4 update will also feature the introduction of the Spatial Gallery app on the Vision Pro. This application will showcase spatial photos, videos, panoramas, and other content tailored for the capabilities of the mixed reality headset. The gallery will cover a diverse range of topics, such as art, culture, entertainment, lifestyle, nature, sports, and travel.
Apple has confirmed that the visionOS 2.4 update will be accessible to Vision Pro users in April. The initial rollout of Apple Intelligence features will be limited to those who have set their device and Siri language to English (US), with plans to expand to additional regions including Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, and the UK.
