Apple is reportedly preparing an extensive launch schedule for 2026, showcasing a range of new products. According to a respected journalist, the company based in Cupertino may unveil an M5-powered MacBook Pro, an M4-powered iPad Air, a basic iPad, along with a new MacBook Air in the first half of next year. Furthermore, it is believed that Apple is working on the next iteration of the iPhone 16e, known as the iPhone 17e, which could feature a design similar to its predecessor.

Apple’s Launch Plans for 2026

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has indicated that Apple aims to roll out a number of devices by “Spring 2026.” Included in this refreshed lineup are entry-level iPad and iPad Air models, which are anticipated to launch early next year, following the debut of current versions in March 2025.

The entry-level iPad is expected to maintain a design akin to the existing model while likely offering a more powerful processor. This model is projected to hit shelves in March or April. In contrast, the new iPad Air is anticipated to receive an update to the M4 chipset, although no other significant changes are expected at this time. Gurman notes that these devices are “further ahead” in the development process and could launch around the same time as the basic iPad.

Additionally, the tech giant is expected to introduce a successor to the iPhone 16e next year, named the iPhone 17e. This device is likely to retain a similar look to the current version, but rumors suggest that it may feature an upgraded SoC, moving to the A19 chip, aligning with the upcoming iPhone 17 series. The codename for this new device is V159, with a potential launch in early 2026.

Turning to the MacBook Pro, both the 14-inch and 16-inch models were initially set for release this year, powered by M5 chipsets. However, sources indicate that the launch has been pushed back to 2026, with the respective codenames J714 and J716. Gurman has noted that this will be the “last” MacBook to feature the current design, with future models likely to adopt new casings and OLED displays.

Furthermore, two new MacBook Air models, identified by codenames J813 and J815, are also slated for launch in early 2026, and these are expected to come with 13-inch and 15-inch displays, respectively.

In addition to these launches, Apple is reportedly working on a new external monitor for the Mac, building on the release of the Apple Studio Display in 2022. This monitor is also expected to be available in early 2026.

Gurman suggests that this series of products is part of Apple’s strategy to ensure steady revenue growth. In addition to updating existing product categories, the company is continuing to develop its long-anticipated smart home hub. Originally planned for launch in March 2025, development on this product faced “indefinite” delays due to issues with Apple’s Siri voice assistant, but it is now expected to be included in Apple’s busy launch calendar for the early part of next year.
