Amazon is set to enhance advertising capabilities for sellers by introducing a new AI chatbot designed to create promotional content based on simple text input. This innovative tool allows sellers to specify the type of advertisement they want, and the chatbot will utilize brand guidelines, product descriptions, and other store information to produce both static and video ad concepts.
An illustrative example from Amazon demonstrates how sellers can prompt the AI to generate taglines and images, develop a script, select music, create a voiceover, and even layout a storyboard. According to Amazon, “This tool minimizes the time and expenses related to crafting creative ads, promoting rapid exploration and experimentation by advertisers.” These ads are expected to appear on Amazon’s online platform and other media properties, including Prime Video, Kindle, and Twitch.
This tool mirrors the AI-driven interface offered to advertisers on TikTok for creating video ads. It builds upon Amazon’s prior AI innovations, which already enable sellers to produce AI-generated videos that highlight their products. Currently, the AI chatbot is in beta testing, operating through Amazon’s Nova AI model alongside Anthropic’s Claude.
Additionally, Amazon is enhancing its AI-powered seller assistant by introducing new “agentic” functionalities. These improvements allow the assistant to track inventory levels and offer insights on optimizing business operations by identifying items that are selling slowly or recommending price adjustments. The assistant can now also vet a seller’s account for product listings that may breach new safety regulations while suggesting new product ideas based on consumer behavior.
