Amazon is gearing up to launch its Prime Day 2025 sale in India, with the event slated to begin on July 12 and continue until July 14. This much-anticipated sale will feature an extensive range of products available at promotional prices. In advance of the main event, the e-commerce giant has rolled out several early discount deals to entice shoppers. Furthermore, Amazon has unveiled a new cashback initiative known as Rewards Gold, which provides customers with up to 5 percent cashback for purchases made through Amazon Pay in specific categories.
Amazon Pay Introduces Rewards Gold Program in India
According to a press release from Amazon, the Rewards Gold program allows Prime members to earn 5 percent cashback, while non-Prime users can receive 3 percent cashback on qualifying transactions. To take advantage of this offer, users must complete 25 transactions via Amazon Pay for shopping or bill payments. Once they meet this threshold, users will accrue cashback on each transaction made across various categories and merchants.
The company emphasizes that participants can maximize their savings leading up to Amazon India’s Prime Day 2025 with the Rewards Gold program. The 25 qualifying transactions can encompass a variety of activities, including UPI payments, money transfers, QR code scans, bill payments, and general shopping.
Under the Rewards Gold initiative, Prime members will benefit from 5 percent cashback across a range of categories such as groceries, apparel, travel, and food delivery. The cashback rewards can be redeemed on the Amazon platform as well as at over 55,000 partner merchant sites, including more than 5,000 physical retail locations, according to the company.
Users can also receive 5 percent cashback through popular apps, including Ola, Domino’s, and Zomato’s District, as well as platforms offering subscriptions like Microsoft Xbox and JioHotstar. Additionally, qualified users may find discounts available on select OnePlus products.
Finally, Amazon has stated that customers holding an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card will enjoy extra benefits within the Rewards Gold program.
