Soon, users will have the ability to produce videos with edits that align with the beats of their chosen music tracks, and they can also incorporate image stickers from their smartphone’s gallery. Additionally, the platform will introduce AI-generated stickers that can be created through user prompts. When employing Shorts templates, the original content creators will receive proper attribution.
YouTube Shorts Video Editor to Support Enhanced Editing Features
The video streaming service, owned by Alphabet, will unveil a redesigned video editor that provides creators with the tools to zoom, snap, rearrange, and delete clips, facilitating more precise video editing. Users will have the option to add timed text to their Shorts videos or integrate music directly within the editor. Currently, many creators rely on external apps for video editing, but this comprehensive in-app solution aims to lessen that dependency.
Also on the horizon is a feature that allows users to sync clips with the rhythm of a music track—a capability that is currently available in various third-party applications. The in-app editor will automatically adjust the selected video clips to match the beats of the chosen audio track.
YouTube is enhancing its sticker offerings for Shorts by allowing image stickers to be sampled from a creator’s gallery. Furthermore, users will soon be able to generate AI stickers by typing prompts into the app, adding a new level of customization to their videos.
This short video platform is also making strides in improving how creators are credited when they utilize templates. When a user creates a Shorts video using a template, the original creator will automatically be recognized. Using templates for video creation will become more streamlined with the in-app editor, enabling creators to easily select and integrate images from their galleries into these templates.
