Leaked Specifications for Xiaomi 16
Digital Chat Station, a prominent source on Weibo, shared details regarding the alleged specifications of the Xiaomi 16. The device is anticipated to boast a 6.3-inch flat OLED display, characterized by slim bezels on all four sides. Users can expect the phone to ship with Android 16, enhanced by Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.0 interface, which is a step up from the previous Xiaomi 15 that operates on HyperOS 2.0.
Powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, the Xiaomi 16 series is projected to be the first lineup to incorporate this SoC, with its official unveiling set for the Snapdragon Summit later this month.
The device is rumored to include a triple rear camera system featuring three 50-megapixel sensors: a main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, and a telephoto sensor equipped with macro capabilities. This configuration mirrors the existing camera setup of the Xiaomi 15.

The Xiaomi 15 made its debut in China in October of the previous year alongside the Xiaomi 15 Pro, and was subsequently released in India in March 2025, with a starting price of Rs. 64,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage version.
