The most recent addition is currently in beta testing, enabling users to easily share, view, and follow Channels via a quick response (QR) code within the app. This feature is accessible for testing on the recent beta versions of WhatsApp for both iOS and Android, and it is anticipated that it will eventually be available to all users.
New QR Code Functionality for WhatsApp Channels
This innovative QR code feature was identified by WABetaInfo, a platform that tracks updates for various apps, in the latest WhatsApp beta versions for both iOS and Android. Users participating in the beta testing program and running WhatsApp beta versions 2.24.25.7 for Android or 24.24.10.76 for iOS may now experience this new functionality.

Users with the feature activated in WhatsApp, who are on the latest beta version and manage an existing WhatsApp Channel, can navigate to their Channel information panel and choose the sharing options to create a QR code.
Once the QR code is generated, it can be shared with other users via WhatsApp or other messaging applications. The QR code is provided as an image, making it possible to distribute through third-party apps, email, or even print. This feature could be particularly beneficial for businesses seeking to facilitate an easy follow option for customers.
It remains uncertain when the QR code sharing feature will be rolled out to users on the stable release channel. The company is also experimenting with additional enhancements, including the ability to share complete sticker packs, a ‘Search on the web’ functionality for image lookup, and cross-device contact management. These features are expected to be implemented for widespread use following adequate testing in the beta program.
