The Vivo V50 made its debut in India back in February, featuring a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Reports suggest that the company is gearing up to launch the Vivo V50 Elite Edition, which is expected to join the existing Vivo V50 series shortly. While Vivo has yet to officially announce this new Elite variant, recent information indicates a potential launch date.
Vivo V50 Elite Edition Anticipated Launch Date in India
According to industry sources cited by 91Mobiles, the Vivo V50 Elite Edition is likely to be introduced in India on May 15. This new variant is said to offer a unique design, while largely mirroring the hardware and specifications of the standard Vivo V50.
If these reports hold true, the Vivo V50 Elite Edition would feature a 6.77-inch Full-HD+ (1,080×2,392 pixels) quad-curved AMOLED display, powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. Users can expect options of up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Similar to the original Vivo V50, the forthcoming Elite Edition is anticipated to include two 50-megapixel sensors on the rear, along with a 50-megapixel camera for selfies. It may also come equipped with a robust 6,000mAh battery, supporting 90W wired fast charging. Additional features could include Vivo’s Aura Light and various AI-driven photo editing capabilities.
The current lineup of Vivo’s V50 series in India consists of the base Vivo V50 and the Vivo V50e models. The Elite Edition is set to become the third addition to this growing series.
The initial launch of the Vivo V50 in India featured a base price of Rs. 34,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version. Variants with 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage configurations are priced at Rs. 36,999 and Rs. 40,999, respectively.
