2K has officially announced the release date, roster, and additional details for TopSpin 2K25, marking the anticipated return of the renowned tennis simulation series. The game is set to launch on April 26 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, and PC. Included in the game will be a roster of 24 playable tennis professionals, highlighted in a new trailer featuring notable players such as Roger Federer and Serena Williams.
The announcement comes after the game’s initial reveal in January, with pre-orders now live on PlayStation and Xbox online stores, as well as on Steam for PC users. Those who choose the Deluxe and Grand Slam Editions will enjoy early access starting April 23.
In addition to featuring Federer and Williams on the cover of the Standard Edition, 2K has confirmed that current tennis stars Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Świątek, and Frances Tiafoe will adorn the Deluxe Edition cover. The game will not only showcase 24 active and retired tennis players but will also feature legendary commentator John McEnroe, who will lend his voice for in-game training sessions in the TopSpin Academy.
Players can expect various competitive modes at launch, including both single-player and multiplayer experiences. TopSpin 2K25 will encompass all four Grand Slam tournaments and allow players to take the journey of an emerging pro through the MyCareer mode, competing against top tennis talent in significant tournaments. Iconic players like Federer, Williams, Alcaraz, Świątek, Tiafoe, and Andre Agassi will be among those players available for gamers to control.
The game will also introduce a MyPlayer mode, enabling players to create their own custom tennis pro with personalized styles and appearances. Beyond the career path and exhibition matches, players will have the opportunity to engage with others online, thanks to cross-play support.
TopSpin 2K25 will be released in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Grand Slam. Pricing is set at $69.99, $99.99, and $119.99, respectively. In India, the editions will be available for Rs. 3,399, Rs. 5,699, and Rs. 6,799 on Steam, while console pricing is pegged at Rs. 4,999, Rs. 7,499, and Rs. 7,999. Pre-orders will come with alternate outfits and various in-game items, with early access for Deluxe and Grand Slam Editions commencing on April 23.
TopSpin 2K25 has been developed by Hangar 13, the 2K studio known for its work on the Mafia franchise, marking the first new installment in the Top Spin series in nearly 13 years since the release of Top Spin 4.
