Activision has officially announced the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, following a series of leaks and teasers that hinted at the project. The remake of the beloved skateboarding games is set to launch on July 11 for multiple platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are currently available across all platforms.
New Features Revealed for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4
On March 4, Activision unveiled details about the game on its official website, outlining numerous new and returning features. “It’s back and better than ever,” the publisher stated in the announcement. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will include original skate parks and the classic roster of skaters, alongside a variety of new parks, skaters, and tricks.
The game will launch with a Career mode, cross-platform multiplayer capabilities, enhanced creation tools, and a New Game+ feature. Activision noted that cross-platform online multiplayer would accommodate up to eight players at a time.
“Everything you love is back and rebuilt from the ground up with new skaters and parks, extra tricks, and new tracks to crank up. Skate through a robust Career mode taking on challenges across two tours, chase high scores in Single Sessions, and Speedruns, or relax in Free Skate,” the publisher explained in the announcement.
Classic parks from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 have been remastered in 4K resolution, with a new park called Waterpark featuring grindable slides and a drained lazy river among the highlights. Players will have the option to select from a roster of both new and classic skaters or create their own with extensive customization options.
Players who pre-order the game on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation will have the chance to skate in the Foundry Demo in June, which will include two playable skaters and two parks. Additionally, pre-ordering will grant immediate access to the in-game Wireframe Tony Shader upon launch.
For those opting for the Digital Deluxe Edition, a three-day early access period will also be included. This version will feature the iconic Doom Slayer and the Revenant enemy type from the Doom franchise as playable skaters.
Furthermore, a Collection’s Edition will be made available, which will include a limited-edition full-size Birdhouse skateboard deck emblazoned with a reissued version of the iconic Wings graphic, a printed Tony Hawk autograph, and a physical copy of the game along with a voucher for all the Digital Deluxe Edition benefits.
