In July, Telegram introduced a stories feature for its premium users, which became accessible to all users by August. The platform has now enhanced this feature by allowing users to incorporate music and reaction stickers into their stories. Additionally, users can share media directly in view-once mode, a setting that can be modified at any time. Telegram has also expanded the stories feature to include channels, which requires support through boosts from their users.

Telegram’s stories function operates similarly to Instagram Stories, permitting users to post stories that remain visible for 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. The recent update enables Telegram Channels to post stories, contingent upon receiving boosts from Premium users. Each Premium user can provide one boost to any channel, and as channels accumulate boosts, they can progress to higher levels. Advancing through these levels allows channel admins to share additional stories each day. Users retain the choice regarding which channels’ stories they want to follow. Channels can monitor their required boosts for advancement by navigating to Channel Info > More > Statistics > Boosts.

In addition to new music and reaction stickers, both users and channels can now add clickable reaction stickers to their stories. Viewers can interact with these stickers with a simple tap. To include a reaction sticker, users need to select the sticker icon and choose from various emoji options. Premium users can add up to five reaction stickers per story, while standard users are limited to one. Users wishing to include music in their stories can do so by accessing the Audio > Select file > Adjust the track option, and they can also opt to retain the original audio.

Similar to other platforms like WhatsApp and Instagram, Telegram allows users to send media in a view-once mode. This feature provides the option to either use the view-once setting or a 30-second display mode. Media sent in view-once mode is permanently deleted after being opened, and viewers are unable to save or screenshot the content.

Moreover, Telegram will notify users with a login alert each time they access their accounts from a new device. Users can review all devices currently logged into their accounts by going to Settings > Devices. For added security, two-step verification is available and can be activated by navigating to Settings > Privacy and Security > Two-Step Verification.
