Tecno is reportedly on Technology News of launching a new smartphone in its Pova series in India. While the Transsion Holdings subsidiary has not officially announced the device, a purported teaser video has surfaced online, showcasing the phone’s distinct triangular camera module. Earlier this year, Tecno teased a similar device, following the introduction of the Tecno Pova 6 series last year, which included three models: the Tecno Pova 6, Pova 6 Pro, and Pova 6 Neo 5G.

91Mobiles has shared a leaked promotional video of the upcoming Pova series smartphone. The footage features the phone with a triangular camera array on its rear, which accommodates dual camera sensors and an LED flash, arranged vertically on the panel. The device appears to follow a boxy design with sharp edges, highlighting its modern aesthetic.

The video is accompanied by the phrase, “a portal to the supreme,” and features an orange stripe beneath the camera module. Though the video does not explicitly mention the name, hints within the lyrics suggest it could be titled the Tecno Pova Curve.
Earlier this year, Tecno showcased smartphones with a design language akin to this, indicating the progression of its Pova series. The images released by the company highlighted a similar triangular camera module that includes an LED light border.
Anticipated enhancements in the new Pova series smartphones may build upon the specifications of last year’s Tecno Pova 6, Pova 6 Pro, and Pova 6 Neo 5G. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G and Pova 6 Neo 5G were unveiled in March and September respectively, equipped with MediaTek Dimensity chipsets and featuring 108-megapixel rear cameras. The Pova 6 Pro 5G boasts a robust 6,000mAh battery with 70W wired fast charging capabilities, while the Pova 6 Neo 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
