It will also support an unlocked framerate, voiceovers in Japanese and Chinese, and compatibility with ultrawide displays and DualSense controllers featuring haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
In addition to these enhancements, players can anticipate a new boss battle against Mann, 25 new costumes for the character Eve, and upgraded environmental textures. The PC edition is planned for release on platforms including Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While Sony and Shift Up have yet to officially acknowledge the PC version of the game, the leak hints that an announcement may be imminent.
Future PC Plans from Shift Up
Last year, Shift Up indicated that a PC version of Stellar Blade was being contemplated for a 2025 release. In its financial report, the developer expressed optimism that the game would achieve greater commercial success on PC.
“The release is being considered within 2025. Considering recent trends like Steam’s growing market presence in the AAA sector and the global acclaim for titles such as Black Myth: Wukong, we anticipate the PC version will outperform its console counterpart,” the studio noted in November.
As of June 2024, Shift Up confirmed that Stellar Blade had surpassed one million sales on PS5 and mentioned that reviewing a PC version was underway.
Stellar Blade continues to follow the journey of Eve, a super soldier tasked with rescuing a planet Earth overrun by monsters. In our evaluation of the game, we lauded its engaging combat and polished visuals, though we also pointed out that various aspects detracted from its full potential.
