The Sony Xperia 1 VI was launched in May 2024, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a triple rear camera system. Following this, Sony is reportedly preparing to introduce the Xperia 1 VII, which will succeed last year’s model. A recent listing on Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) website has provided details regarding the design and color options of the upcoming Xperia 1 VII, identified by the model number XQ-FSxx. The listing confirms the presence of three rear cameras and a headphone jack.
Leak Reveals Design of Sony Xperia 1 VII
The Japanese website Sumaho Digest posted live images alleged to be of the Sony Xperia 1 VII. These images, which appear to have originated from the NCC certification site in Taiwan, display the device in black, navy green, and purple color variants. In contrast, the previous Xperia 1 VI was available in Black, Platinum Silver, and Khaki Green shades.

The leaked renders indicate that the Xperia 1 VII retains a similar design to its predecessor. It appears to maintain the triple rear camera configuration, with sensors vertically aligned on the back panel. The inclusion of a headphone jack, seen in the existing model, is also confirmed in the images.
According to the leaks, the main camera situated at the center of the device will feature an Exmor-T sensor. The model number for the phone is listed as XQ-FSxx.
Measurements from the report suggest the Sony Xperia 1 VII will be 165mm tall and 74mm wide, slightly increasing in height compared to the Xperia 1 VI, which measures 162mm in height and maintains a 74mm width.
Additionally, a leak earlier this month suggested that the Xperia 1 VII will retain the same 6.5-inch display as its predecessor, characterized by sizeable bezels at both ends. This device is anticipated to be the first Sony smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The Xperia 1 VI debuted at a starting price of EUR 1,299 (approximately Rs. 1,17,400) for the 12GB+256GB variant. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary Sony Exmor T sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 12-megapixel zoom lens. For selfies, the phone includes a 12-megapixel front camera and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.
