Snapchat is introducing new features aimed at enhancing user engagement within its app. The photo-messaging platform is now launching an option for users to display multiple links on their profiles, directing followers to various work-related pages or other social media accounts. This functionality is made possible through a partnership with Linktree, a service well-known for creating a consolidated space for links. This initiative comes amid Snapchat’s growing popularity in various regions, notably India.
Linktree allows users to aggregate several links associated with their professional and personal identities onto a single page. Users will then be able to share their Linktree URL across their social media accounts.
Linktree officially announced the new feature via Twitter, stating, “And with Linktree being the exclusive link-in-bio platform for Snapchat public profiles, it’s never been easier to bring your followers deeper into other channels you’re on.”

Through this collaboration, Linktree is committed to providing Snapchat users with enhanced visibility on its platform.
Additionally, Linktree is offering Snapchat users a three-month complimentary premium membership, allowing the inclusion of features like email addresses, phone number collection, and even NFTs on their profiles.
The interest in this functionality was first noted by Snapchat back in April, reflecting the growing emphasis on enhancing user-friendly features within social media applications.
As the creator economy continues to flourish, social networking platforms are actively seeking to maximize user engagement through various initiatives. In line with this trend, Instagram also introduced a similar functionality in April, enabling users to highlight their content from different platforms.
By May 2023, Snapchat reported over 200 million monthly active users in India. The company is also partnering with local merchants to develop a regional e-commerce infrastructure on its augmented reality-optimized app.
Additionally, in April, Snapchat launched an interactive bot feature powered by artificial intelligence (AI), further advancing its technological capabilities.
