A team of researchers has developed a method to enable frozen discs of ice to move autonomously across a specially designed metallic surface, according to a recent study published in ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces. The investigation comes from the Virginia Tech laboratory led by mechanical engineer Jonathan Boreyko.
