Potential Battery Trade-offs for the Galaxy Z Fold 7
Samsung’s commitment to a sleeker design may imply a trade-off in battery capacity. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to feature a 4,400mAh battery, consistent with the preceding Galaxy Z Fold 6. Nevertheless, advancements in battery and charging technologies are anticipated for this new device.
In addition, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is rumored to include a 4,300mAh battery, marking an upgrade over the 4,000mAh battery of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It is also suggested that the base model of the Galaxy S26 will maintain a slim design, with the current Galaxy S25 measuring 7.2mm thick.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is rumored to utilize Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset. Both devices are projected to support 25W wired charging speeds.
