Samsung has reportedly begun the distribution of the One UI 7 Beta for the Galaxy A55 5G. A recent announcement on a community forum indicates that select users in South Korea, partnered with a specific mobile network provider, are receiving the Android 15-based update. Participation in Samsung’s One UI Beta programme is required to access the update. This latest development makes the Galaxy A55 5G the newest device to join the ranks of those receiving the One UI 7 Beta, following similar updates for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 that were released last month.
One UI 7 Beta for Samsung Galaxy A55 5G
A post on Samsung’s South Korea community forum informs that users of the Galaxy A55 5G are starting to receive the One UI 7 Beta update. However, initial access seems confined to those using SKT Telecom as their mobile service provider, according to a translated version of the original Korean content.
Similar to previous beta updates for other models, users interested in the One UI 7 Beta for the Galaxy A55 5G must enroll through the Samsung Members app. The company notes that available features in the beta may differ based on the user’s geographical location.
The update accommodates a total of 29 languages, including various local dialects such as Arabic, Chinese, English (in regions like Australia, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States), Dutch, French (Canada and France), German, Hindi, Spanish (from Mexico, Spain, and the United States), and Vietnamese.
This update follows an announcement by Samsung’s Indian division made last month, where the One UI 7 Beta programme was broadened to encompass the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and the Galaxy A55 5G. While an exact rollout date has yet to be confirmed, the community forum post implies that the rollout may already be underway.
The Android 15-based One UI 7 was initially unveiled with the Galaxy S25 series in January, featuring visual improvements and enhanced customization options, a new notification mechanism referred to as Now Bar, and redesigned One UI widgets. Additionally, it integrates a range of new functionalities supported by Galaxy AI, Samsung’s suite of artificial intelligence tools. However, it is still unclear which specific features from this update will be available to users of the Galaxy A55 5G in South Korea.
