On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ at its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year. Both smartphones are powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, complemented by 12GB of RAM. Additionally, these devices provide an array of Galaxy AI features enhanced by artificial intelligence. The camera system boasts a triple-rear setup, leading with a 50-megapixel primary camera. Users will find both models running on Android 15, equipped with Samsung’s One UI 7 interface.
This year’s Galaxy S25 series introduces several new AI features, including Now Brief and Night Video with Audio Eraser. Furthermore, users can utilize Google Gemini features within Samsung apps, like Samsung Notes. Samsung has committed to providing seven years of OS and security updates for the Galaxy S25 series.
Pricing and Availability of Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25+
The Samsung Galaxy S25 starts at $799 (approximately ₹69,100) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There’s also a variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is priced at $859 (around ₹74,300). Pricing for the 12GB+512GB option has yet to be disclosed, while in India, the Galaxy S25 will be available starting at ₹80,999.

Conversely, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ is priced at $999 (approximately ₹86,400) for its base model, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A 12GB+512GB variant is offered at $1,119 (roughly ₹96,700). In India, the Galaxy S25+ begins at ₹99,999.
Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S25 will be available in Icy Blue, Mint, Navy, and Silver Shadow colors, with exclusive options including Blueblack, Coralred, and Pinkgold available through its website. Pre-orders for the devices have opened, with sales expected to commence in the US on February 7.

Both the Galaxy S25 and S25+ are dual SIM devices that operate on Android 15 with One UI 7. They feature an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and include 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM. Storage options available are 256GB and 512GB, while the standard Galaxy S25 also offers a 128GB variant.
The Galaxy S25 showcases a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The larger Galaxy S25+ sports a 6.7-inch (1,440×3,120 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, maintaining the same refresh rate and brightness levels.

Both smartphones feature a robust triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera with 2x in-sensor zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS), and an f/1.8 aperture. This is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom, OIS, and an f/2.4 aperture. The front-facing camera for both models is a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The devices both hold an IP68 rating, ensuring resistance against dust and water. Samsung also promises seven years of OS and security updates for these models, just like their predecessors. An in-display fingerprint sensor is available for biometric authentication on both versions.
The Galaxy S25 is powered by a 4,000mAh battery supporting 25W wired charging (charger sold separately), while the S25+ features a larger 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging capabilities (wired, charger sold separately). Both phones are compatible with Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 (15W) and feature Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. The Galaxy S25 measures 146.9 × 70.5 × 7.2mm and weighs 162g, while the S25+ measures 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3mm and weighs 190g.
