Samsung has released its financial results for the second quarter of the year and outlined plans for the latter half of 2025. The South Korean technology leader announced a series of product launches expected before the year’s end, which includes the much-anticipated triple-fold smartphone along with a new extended reality (XR) headset known as Project Moohan. The company also hinted at the launch timeline for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE smartphone.
Samsung Reveals Plans for Galaxy S25 FE, Tri-Fold Phone, and XR Headset in H2 2025
During the Q2 2025 earnings call, Daniel Araujo, the Vice President of Samsung’s Mobile Experience division, noted that the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to debut sooner. This indicates a potential release in global markets around August or early September, following the Galaxy S24 FE’s launch in late September of the previous year.
The Galaxy S25 FE is anticipated to feature an Exynos 2400 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256GB. It is expected to operate on One UI 8 and include a 4,900mAh battery. In terms of camera capabilities, the device may feature a triple rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor alongside a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone could be available in colors such as icy blue, jet black, navy, and white.
Samsung has also confirmed that its Tri-Fold smartphone, along with the Project Moohan XR headset, will be launched in the second half of 2025. The XR headset was recently spotted on Geekbench, showcasing a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset.
The anticipated triple-fold smartphone is likely to be named the Galaxy Z TriFold, with a market introduction expected in October. Earlier speculations suggested that it might be referred to as the Samsung G Fold.
Additionally, Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Tab S11 series in the near future and will introduce new entry-level smartphones in its Galaxy A series, which are believed to include the Galaxy A17 5G and the Galaxy A07, both of which have recently made headlines online.
