At the Bett 2025 exhibition held on Tuesday, Samsung introduced its latest series of interactive displays designed specifically for educational settings. Known as the WAFX-P series, these displays aim to enhance learning experiences in classrooms by incorporating advanced technology. Among the innovative features is the Circle to Search tool, which utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to facilitate visual lookups. With sizes reaching up to 86 inches, these displays are poised to be the largest of their kind on the market. However, Samsung has yet to disclose pricing information.
Samsung’s WAFX-P Displays Feature AI Capabilities
Samsung has officially launched the WAFX-P series of interactive displays, which integrate the company’s AI assistant along with various AI functionalities. Built on the Android platform, these displays offer compatibility with Google Classroom and Google Drive.
This new lineup includes three size options: 65, 75, and 86 inches. Each unit is equipped with a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of handling up to 4.8 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for local AI processing. Additionally, they feature an unnamed octa-core CPU, along with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage.
The interactive displays provide peak brightness levels of up to 450 nits and include built-in features such as a 4K camera, microphone, and 20W speakers. They will operate on Android 15, though details regarding their release date and pricing remain undisclosed.
Utilizing the Samsung AI assistant, both educators and learners can benefit from the Circle to Search feature, allowing for efficient web searches of on-screen images or text. Samsung has assured that the search results will come from “trusted sources,” though specifics about the version of the AI tool being used have not been clarified.
In addition to search capabilities, the display will provide AI-driven summaries of lessons, offering recaps at the end of each class to aid students in reviewing material covered. The Live Transcript feature will also convert spoken words into text in real-time, helping students revisit key points made during lectures.
