The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has reportedly re-emerged on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, offering insights into some of its prominent features. The listing indicates that the foldable smartphone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Samsung is expected to utilize an overclocked version of this chipset in the forthcoming device, which is set to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Listed on Geekbench
The Geekbench database has provided a listing for the alleged Galaxy Z Fold 7 with the model number SM-F966N. Previously, a similar device with the model number SM-F966U was documented on the benchmarking site in April, with the former believed to reflect the Korean variant of the foldable phone.
According to the Geekbench entry, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is designed to operate on Android 16 and will come with a minimum of 12GB of RAM. The device tested features a motherboard codenamed ‘sun’, which consists of six CPU cores running at 3.53GHz and two additional cores peaking at 4.47GHz. These specifications are thought to correlate with the Snapdragon 8 Elite system-on-chip.
Samsung is anticipated to integrate an overclocked variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, similar to “for Galaxy” editions seen in previous foldable devices and the Galaxy S25 series.
The Geekbench listing has also revealed performance metrics, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 achieving a single-core score of 2,617 and a multi-core score of 9,369. For comparison, the prototype identified as SM-F966U scored 18,143 points in the OpenCL test on Geekbench.
Details surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold 7 have garnered significant attention recently, with expectations that it will be the slimmest foldable smartphone to date. It is projected to have a thickness of 3.9mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. Additionally, the device is rumored to feature a 4,400mAh battery.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July, likely initiating sales with a price starting at Rs. 1,64,999 for the base model featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
