The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE is set to debut in the latter half of this year, aimed at providing consumers with a more budget-friendly clamshell foldable smartphone option. Although Samsung has yet to officially acknowledge the FE variant of its flip phone lineup, details regarding its specifications have emerged online ahead of the launch. The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip FE is rumored to be equipped with Samsung’s proprietary Exynos processor and may utilize camera sensors similar to those found in the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The announcement is expected to occur alongside the launches of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Details on Chipset and Camera for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE
The Dutch publication Galaxyclub has disclosed specifications for the European variant of the Galaxy Z Flip FE, identified by the model number SM-F761B. According to their report, the new flip phone will operate on the Exynos 2400e SoC, which was previously used in last year’s Galaxy S24 FE. Alternative chipsets may be offered in different regional versions of the device. It is expected to come with 8GB of RAM.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Galaxy Z Flip FE is likely to be equipped with two rear-facing cameras, featuring a 12-megapixel primary camera alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, it is anticipated to include a 10-megapixel front camera. Notably, the camera setup aligns with that of the 2023 Galaxy Z Flip 5.
The report suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will essentially be a modified version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, primarily distinguished by its upgraded chipset. Additionally, it is expected to maintain a 3,700mAh battery capacity, similar to that of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, with a suggested pricing of under EUR 1,000 (approximately Rs. 92,000).
Samsung is likely to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip FE during its Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July, coinciding with the launch of the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. The FE model is expected to showcase a 6.7-inch main display and a 3.4-inch cover screen, along with support for 25W wired charging.
