Samsung has announced the launch of its One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S25 series, according to a recent report. Though substantial in size, the update does not include significant new features or security enhancements. Instead, the changelog indicates improvements to device usability along with other minor enhancements. Currently, the update is limited to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models in Europe.
One UI 7 Update for Galaxy S25 Series
A report by SammyFans reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is receiving the One UI 7 update in Europe. This update comes with specific build numbers: S921BXXU4BYE7 for the Galaxy S25, S926BXXU4BYE7 for the Galaxy S25+, and S928BXXU4BYE7 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Each model will see an update size of approximately 1.28GB.
Samsung has not released a detailed changelog for this update; instead, it provides a general description of the changes. The company has indicated that the update includes enhancements for device stability and bug fixes. Updates of this nature often incorporate new features or optimize existing functionalities, alongside boosting overall performance.
To initiate the update, users of the Samsung Galaxy S25 must go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Users are advised to ensure that their device is charged to at least 50 percent to successfully complete the installation process.
After installation, Samsung’s first-party applications can be updated via the Galaxy Store. The report also mentions that this update includes the May 2025 security patch, which was previously released in a different One UI 7-based update for the Galaxy S25 series last month.
Notably, while the new One UI 7 update has been rolled out for all three flagship models of the Galaxy S25 lineup, it has yet to be issued for the latest Galaxy S25 Edge. Currently, the update is available exclusively in Europe, with expectations for wider distribution in the near future.
